EVENT DETAILS
Ever wonder where runoff goes or how water magically appears, fresh and clean, from your faucets? There are approximately 2,110 watersheds in the continental United States, what purpose do they serve and how do your daily activities affect their function? It is time to step back and look at the bigger picture of the important role local watersheds play in our communities. The Committee for Green Foothills (CGF) is leading the way with an Adobe Watershed Tour in conjunction with the Shaped by Water exhibit at the Los Altos History Museum. Come join us on an eye opening adventure through your local watershed. Take this opportunity to learn about its history and function, as well as the important steps being taken to protect and preserve this natural resource. Enjoy a bus tour of the Adobe Creek watershed that includes several stops, expert speakers, and lunch. Be prepared for moderate walking. Register by March 16: $35, ages 18 and older.
