I WANT TO ATTEND
I CANNOT ATTEND BUT I WANT TO DONATE
Come join CGF as our farm tour returns to Santa Clara County! We'll visit a cattle ranching operation responsible for grazing management on sensitive habitats, home to endangered species and key open space properties. Take a tour of Andy’s Orchard, an agricultural gem where tradition meets innovation in the growing of artisanal stone fruit. There we will enjoy a catered outdoor lunch of delicious locally sourced food while listening to informative guest speakers. Next, interact with some of the happiest chickens, goats, alpacas, and sheep around at Shady Creek Farm and learn how they are getting this new small farming operation off the ground. And finally, stroll through the only olive grove in Santa Clara County where Frantoio olives, considered by many as the premier olive tree for making extra virgin olive oil, are grown. We’ll cap off the tour with a tasting of the exceptional extra virgin olive oil produced from these trees.
